Mangaon, District - Raigad.

 

With your generous support, we are able to distribute educational material (textbooks, notebooks, compass boxes, drawing books, coloring material, school uniforms and umbrellas) to 559 needy students for the second consecutive year in the Shiravali area of Mangaon tehsil (9 schools) and Roha tehsil (4 schools) covering both primary and secondary schools. The distribution work in some more schools is to be done and will be completed within a week.

 

The pitiable condition of the schools, indifferent behavior of the government machinery, insufficient means of transportation, migration of the parents in search of livelihood are some factors that affect the enrollment and attendance of the students in schools of rural areas. In addition to these factors the sheer poverty and lack of communication lead to an increase in the number of school dropouts.

 

VBSK is striving to encourage and support these students to continue their education and become skilled and employable human resources. These efforts will certainly build self esteem and confidence among them.

We appreciate the support and love extended by you towards the constructive and noble work undertaken by VBSK in the memory of Vishnubuva Brahmachari.
